Pavel Novak graduated the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 1990. He studied in the classical printmaking studio of professor Ladislav Cepelak and senior lecturer Miroslav Cerny.
His work is markedly inspired by the place where he lives. Influenced by this inspiration he seems to be quite a realistic artist. He is interested in immediatel impressing reality and points connected with it and doesn`t try to solve other abstract philosophical problems. It doesn`t mean poverty in ideas, rather certain specific view of world and creation.
Profound philosophical topics we can see in his illustrations (E. A. Poe: The Raven, Names of Rock, illustration of biblical stories, The Golem ...).
Pavel Novák participated in common exhibitions in Los Angeles, London, Paris, Mexico, Denmark and naturally mostly in common and individual exhibitions in Prague and Czech republic.
